Mushroom Mocha ~ Roasted Hot Chocolate

Forest Folk Fungi

Mushroom Mocha ~ Roasted Hot Chocolate

$32.00

Over the years, Forest Folk's co-founder Joe has become known as the Warm Creamy Drink Man for his uncanny ability to craft the most delicious and satisfying herbal drink concoctions. And this is one of our favorites! It’s both grounding and uplifting, and calls on the age-old synergy of mushrooms and chocolate. Organic roasted root powders that completely dissolve in hot water for ultra creaminess unite with the most precious small-batch heirloom cacao powder from Ecuador (think: organically grown on small family farms, its genetic lineage reaches back at least 5,300 years to the first known cacao trees domesticated by humanity, and it's purchased for up to 820% above the Fair Trade minimum price). Harmonizing with these roots and magical cacao is a medley of mushrooms - reishi, chaga, maitake, turkey tail, and shiitake - that serve as deep allies on our quest for harmony and wholeness. This is a lovely cup when you’re wanting a little stimulation in a grounded way.

4.6oz/130g

Organic reishi, chaga, maitake, turkey tail, and shiitake mushroom extracts (fruiting body only), organic Ecuadorian Nacional cacao powder, organic cacao powder, extracts of organic roasted barley, organic roasted rye, organic roasted chicory root, and organic roasted dandelion root

Whizz 1.5 Tablespoons with 6-8 ounces of hot water. Sweeten to taste.

Forest Folk Fungi is a medicinal mushroom apothecary located in the foothills of Appalachia. Founded in 2015 by Ali and Joe Banks, who are cultivators, medicine makers, and gardeners, Forest Folk offerings are created by honoring strict wildcrafting practices that value ecosystems over profit. Ali and Joe believe deeply in reciprocity with nature; in operating in a way that reveals deep reverence for Mother Earth. Like gathering only what they need and have the capacity to process and no more, choosing mature specimens that have already sporulated abundantly, carrying mesh foraging bags to aid in spore dispersal, and deferring to the wisdom and wishes of the indigenous. They create - and live - in phenomenal integrity. Always asking how they can deepen their expression of respect for the forest. How they can deepen their integrity in all they create.
