Magic Mushroom Hydrating Serum

Heart of Gold

Magic Mushroom Hydrating Serum

The Intention

Profoundly hydrating and calming serum

When Heart of Gold’s founder and magic-making herbalist, Ally, set out to intuit a hydrating serum, she received a strong vision of a mycelial network. The mushrooms said "we got this" so she got out of the way and let the magic flow. This serum is laser-focused on delivering the mushroom community's medicinal and vibrational medicine. Silver ear mushroom offers luscious, sustained hydration, similar in structure to hyaluronic acid. Organically grown rieshi, mesima, turkey tail, poria, and shiitake bring powerful antioxidants, which inhibit skin-aging MMPs (matrix metalloproteinases). Organic birch sugar stimulates skin immunity and brings humectant hydration. Shatavari root cocoons the skin in succulent hydration. Licorice root works to calm histamine-related inflammation and brighten uneven skin tone. Scented with a joyful choir of fruity douglas fir, brightening bergamot, and grounding cedarwood and jasmine.

1fl oz/30ml

The Heart of Gold Story

Heart of Gold is the life path of herbalist / esthetician / massage therapist / intuitive Ally Draizin. She believes there are no miracle products, but there are magical products. Every Heart of Gold product is made by hand in Heart of Gold’s Portland, Oregon studio: infused with vibrational medicine, intuition, loving intention, and nutrient-rich whole plants sourced with integrity - many from small, local farmers. Extracts are vibrantly and lovingly brought into being in-house, and many hydrosols used in Heart of Gold’s creations come to life in Ally’s copper still. Ally also uses the discernment of 22 years as an esthetician to manifest products that feel good, smell good, and work beautifully.

Ally believes that self-care is an act of love…a benediction. And that to make real, lasting change in our skin, we need to look closely at our lives as a whole. The real transformation comes from learning to listen to our bodies and being tuned in to and receptive of our body’s needs. Her work comes from the heart…an expression of unconditional love. And if she could recommend one product? She wouldn’t. She would recommend a good night’s sleep, a 10 minute meditation, and a big glass of water.

Her goal with Heart of Gold is to bring more love, compassion, and gentleness into your life. Her goal isn’t to heal your skin, your skin has an infinite capacity to heal itself. Her goal is to connect your skin with its own infinite healing ability.

Ally’s Golden Rules (we love these so much!):

Your relationship with the world is a reflection of your relationship with yourself. Allow room in your life for self care. Love yourself, seek new ways to be kind to yourself.

The health of your skin is a reflection of the health of your whole being. Your skin can be a barometer of physical & emotional well-being. Learn to listen to your body, and allow that awareness to be your guiding compass.

Zen philosophy encourages us to be fully present in every moment. Enjoy the time you are given. Incorporate the things that nourish your soul & bring joy into everyday life.

Nothing is chemical-free. Even an empty bottle contains chemicals (air is a chemical). Aim for authenticity, in your actions, in what you consume, in your life. Stay centered in your intuition, be realistic, and always consider the source.

Ask not what plants can do for you, but what you can do for the planet. Be a caretaker of our fragile ecosystem. This should be an integral part of the green beauty movement. Don't seek to acquire, to consume. Seek to connect, to soften. Allow your own beauty, and the beauty of the world around you, to sustain your heart.
