Sungod Face Mask
Sungod was created for the souls who always crave sun rays, who worship the sun's power, and who, during dark winter months, dream about sun-washed beaches and cliffs. Sungod addresses our innate need for the sun and its literal and mysterious healing gifts. And this soft powder mask, with regular use over time, helps skin radiate, revitalize, and heal.
Nurturing with sun-reminiscent and historically sun-associative botanicals, the extraordinary range of nutrients in Sungod comes from roots, mushrooms, adaptogenic herbs, leaves, flowers, fruits, seeds, and mineral-rich Celtic salt. With sustainably respectfully harvested wildflower pollen sourced from a trusted artisan beekeeper in California to deliver an abundance of amino acids, enzymes, phospholipids, vitamins, and minerals, as well as antibacterial, antiviral, and immune-boosting benefits; whole calendula flowers, mostly grown in Earthwise Beauty’s own garden and milled in-house into a fine powder, to bring deep healing and rejuvenation; comfrey to deeply regenerate tissue and soothe sensitive skin; goldenseal rhizome to help ease acne with its antibacterial, antiviral, and astringent properties; turmeric to help reduce hyperpigmentation; and the superfruit pomegranate to aid in sun-damage repair and infuse skin with vitamins A, C, and E.

Measure out 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of the powder into a ceramic bowl and mix with a tiny amount of warm water, raw organic honey, 1 to 4 drops of facial oil or serum, or hydrosol, to achieve a paste. Use your fingers to apply the paste in a thin, even layer onto washed, towel-dried skin. Leave on for 10 to 30 minutes (mist periodically during rest time to prevent the mask from hardening, if you like), then rinse off. The mask can be used as often as desired.
Founded by herbalist, flower essence practitioner, and studying aromatherapist, Ava Zhan, Earthwise Beauty was built upon a lifetime love of skincare products and immersion in nutritional and herbal healing, homeopathy, and aromatherapy.
When she lived in New York City in her early 20s, she worked at a book publisher and would create products in the evenings with ingredients from the local health food store. Soon her coworkers were begging her to make products for them, and her nights were filled to the brim with crafting products. And, so, the spark for Earthwise Beauty was born.
Now with a deep focus on freshness, purity, quality, and luxury, and based in Spokane, Washington, Earthwise Beauty has evolved into a small-batch, organic skincare line based on alive, unrefined, plant-based ingredients with a commitment to preserving the life force contained within the plants. And sourcing is paramount: Ava has close partnerships with organic gardeners, two beekeepers, and a small handful of essential oil and hydrosol suppliers and distillers (who are all dedicated to authenticity, purity, freshness, and organic and sustainability standards). Earthwise Beauty also stays focused on their pro-environment practices and fair trade commitment, and their passion for sustainability informs everything they do: from ingredient selection and product development to packaging and shipping materials. They also have set up an ongoing quarterly donation program to nonprofit organizations that not only spread the word about man-caused damage to the planet earth, its climate, and its fauna and flora, but that have the know-how to effect real changes.
