Suntrap Botanical

The Healer

A steady skincare routine essential, as well as a heal-all balm for any skin irritations, The Healer is comprised of the nourishment of nature and the medicine of whole plants.

Calendula, chamomile, marshmallow, and plantain – all grown and harvested on the Suntrap Botanical land - are infused for a full moon cycle into organic sunflower seed oil grown and produced locally in the finger lakes region where the balm is made. Added into this potent infused oil is a touch of gorgeously aromatic and protective beeswax from a small scale, local beekeeper.

With beautifully healing, revitalizing, and soothing plants offering up their vibrancy in this balm, The Healer is a botanical brew that can do it all: speed up the healing of cuts and scrapes, soothe bug bites, moisturize dry skin, and deeply nourish and nurture as a facial moisturizer.

2oz

Organic NY grown sunflower seed oil, local beeswax, Calendula officinalis*, Althea officinalis*, Plantago major*, Chamomilla matricaria*

*All herbs grown on site on Suntrap Botanical’s land, or bought directly from small farms they trust.

Apply to damp skin (to maximize absorption) as desired.

Founded by clinical herbalist, lifelong gardener, and botanical dyer Geraldine Lavin in 2015, Suntrap Botanical is an herb farm and apothecary in Brooktondale, New York. The thread that weaves her work together is the concept of Bioregionalism. Bioregional Herbalism is the practice of working with the abundant herbs of the region, rather than importing ingredients from all around the globe.

Living in reciprocity with the land is Suntrap's core value...with a focus on the relationship between ecological and human health. They wonder: How can they provide for human needs while regenerating a thriving ecology?

Suntrap offers seed to bottle tincture formulas (all herbs are grown on Suntrap’s land or sourced directly from small + regenerative farmers they trust), seasonal wellness boxes, consultation services, educational materials, workshops, and retreats.
