- The Of The Earth Story
An offering to elevate any sacred ritual, the Salish Sea Organica Dish is a beautiful co-creation with the earth that nods to the nuanced textures and stunning hues of nature. Formed by the sea on the rocky beach of Drummond Bay, Pender Island in Canada, the texture and shape is individual to each dish, and each one contains a bit of earth and rock collected from the location in the creation process. An amazing companion when burning palo santo, sage, or any sacred smoke, this dish helps provide expansive beauty to any cleansing, purifying, grounding ceremony. Made slowly, intentionally, and organically by Dina and Conrad Kaiser in their Canadian studio, this dish helps transform everyday rituals into conduits of deep reverence for yourself, the present moment, and all that is.
Naturally-sourced clay and rock
Hand wash if needed.
Founded in 2018 by Canadian-based duo Conrad and Dina Kaiser, Of the Earth is a line of ceramics inspired by the natural textures, hues, and formations that exist in the world. Dina and Conrad’s intrigue with the ancient world and the history of ceramics adds to their inspiration in creating pieces that not only reflect the earth, but mankind’s ritualistic relationship with clay for thousands of years.
About four years ago, what started as a spontaneous wheel throwing date night, emerged into an obsession, a business, and a lifestyle. With zero ceramics experience, Dina and Conrad relied on their willingness to learn, and their previous business experience, to grow their presence, and spread their work across North America. Their dream was not only to sell ceramics, but to refine a lifestyle that had slowness at the forefront, and fulfillment at its core. Their philosophy is truly grounded in moving slowly in life, art, and work. Their practice is a slow intentional discovery of creation. And their inspiration is the ancient world mixed with the natural elements of the earth.
