Hailing from the fertile forests of Ecuador, heirloom Arriba Nacional cacao that’s wild foraged from mature cacao trees living in symbiotic harmony with the land from which they come is the base of this delicious blend. Hand-selected, fermented, dried by sunlight, and stoneground into a decadent paste, this phenomenally-sourced cacao is abundant in antioxidants, magnesium, calcium, essential fatty acids, and neurotransmitters like theobromine and anandamine… offering up mood-enhancement, focus, and relaxation. Uniting in perfect synergy with cacao in this tonic is Ceylon cinnamon, Redmond real salt, vanilla bean, stevia, and lion’s mane mushroom extract for a ritual that’s nutrient-dense, nurturing, and next-level nourishment.

Blend 1 tsp- 1 tbsp of the cacao tonic blend with 1 cup of hot liquid using a blender or handheld milk frother.

Founded in 2019 by Chelsea Connor, Kismet Cacao was brought life after she found herself in despair: hardly being able to function after a full night of sleep without multiple cups of coffee or matcha, despite devoting herself to living a health-conscious lifestyle. Her hormones, blood sugar, natural energy, and mood had become fully dependent on the faux power of coffee.

Soon after, she began to experiment with a week without coffee and matcha in hopes of regaining some relief from her unbearable exhaustion; and by the end of the week – much to her surprise – her digestion improved, mood had stabilized, digestion improved, skin cleared, anxiety subsided, and she began to feel her own energy again.

As a replacement to caffeine, she created warm, latte-like beverages that would leave her body feeling supported and nourished rather than depleted and dependent. With a history of loving all things chocolate, Chelsea began preparing what she called “cacao tonics”. They filled her soul in a way that felt incredibly indulgent, cozy, and nourishing…and she became endlessly curious about where she could find the highest-quality cacao in the world with which to work.

That quest introduced Chelsea to the extensive and beautiful history, origin, and traditions of cacao. She discovered that cacao has been a deeply cherished plant ally of many cultures for centuries before us. And the very first time she had the privilege of sipping true cacao made from Peruvian cacao paste, her world changed. It was an experience that changed her mind, heart, and spirit…and ultimately led to the creation of Kismet Cacao.
