Night Heron Farm

Mood Mover | Blue Vervain, Tulsi, Anise Hyssop

$18.00

A blend comprised of plants to support shedding and shifting while taking action from a place of strong-heartedness, this tincture shifts perspective while quieting mind chatter. This tangy, tingly blend also supports the adrenals and nervous system.

The herbal allies in Mood Mover include:

Tulsi to provide deep nourishment and support. An adaptogen with greater influence over calming and soothing nerves if used consistently over time as a tonic, tulsi is packed with plant chemicals that protect and detoxify organs and tissues, particularly our liver. Adaptogens such as tulsi provide sustained protection and restoration, strengthening cellular boundaries to keep harmful substances out while rebuilding and replenishing affected cells and organs.

Anise hyssop to calm and soothe the nervous system thanks to its action as a mild sedative. Anise hyssop is also considered a cardiac: an herb used to strengthen the heart. The gentle fragrance and sweet taste are uplifting and restorative.

Lemon bergamot (aka monarda) to encourage a shift in perspective and soothe nerves. Monarda brings energy to the process of moving on, as well as a softness and easing of tension. It is also one of the most beautiful flowers: with tall stacks of purple blossoms towering three feet high and covered in pollinators throughout the season.

Blue vervain to bring its qualities of quiet with it. It is a brain-centered plant that helps to soothe mental chatter and racing thoughts.

Available in 1fl oz or 2fl oz

Lemon bergamot*, anise hyssop*, blue vervain* + tulsi* infused into organic apple cider vinegar, organic cane alcohol + raw, local mountain honey

*All plants grown with love and organic practices in Night Heron Farm’s mountainside California garden.

Shake firmly. Take half to a full dropper when needed.

Night Heron Farm founders Alena and Danny lovingly tend to, nurture, and grow every medicinal herb in their blends on their beyond-organic land set atop the slopes of a gentle mountain two miles inland from the southern California coast. Their garden is nourished by the coastal fog that rolls in and out of the canyon, surrounded by high and dry ridgelines, but held in the dense embrace of a healthy oak woodland.

They utilize more-than-organic practices, honoring the biodiversity of the forest they call home: working to build their soil with rich compost, minimal tilling, and cover crops to reduce their water needs and honor the reality of drought in southern California.

Danny (who draws all the tiny paintings on the tincture labels) grew up in the mountains nearby and spent many years as a working artist before becoming interested in growing medicinal plants. Alena grew up in the deciduous jungles of the Southeast and has spent the last decade as an organic farmer and native plant gardener. They met during an apprenticeship at a medicinal herb farm and have been growing and making medicine together ever since.
