In 2011, Eric went on a quest to create his own toothpaste after looking into the ingredients being used in the “natural” toothpaste he was using and finding them to be unhealthy. This initial idea turned into a four-year obsession to develop the very best natural toothpaste possible and, in 2015, Davids was launched.
With sustainability as the foundation of their business, Davids focuses on supporting and sustaining US jobs by not only producing their toothpaste in the USA, but by also using only ingredients that are farmed, mined, and processed in the USA (98% of their ingredients are USA origin). And they focus on not only sourcing these ingredients within the US, but also ensuring they meet the highest purity and quality standards. And the packaging? Well the metal tube is recyclable (so important since each year about 1.5 billion toothpaste tubes end up in US landfills) with a food-grade non-BPA liner so no paste comes in contact with the aluminum, and the box in which the toothpaste comes is Forest Stewardship Council certified paperboard: ensuring that it comes from forests protected and managed by the FSC (the gold standard in forest certification).
